Cous Cous World Championship 2024

Having arrived in Italy in 2007, Mourad crosses the country from Apulia to Calabria, from Sardinia to Lombardy. He works in the restaurant trade, observes, learns and builds his craft in the field. In 2017 this journey takes shape in Milan with Maison Touareg.

“Morocco in the roots. Italy in the journey. Milan in the Maison.”

A journey even before
a restaurant.

In 2007 Mourad Dakir arrives in Italy with a backpack and a path still to be built. From Apulia to Calabria, from Sardinia to Lombardy, every experience adds something to his way of understanding cuisine, service and hospitality. In 2017 Maison Touareg is born in Milan.

A Maison to experience.

Since 2017 Maison Touareg has brought Moroccan cuisine and hospitality to Milan. The Cous Cous Fest calls it the first Moroccan restaurant in Milan: couscous is one of its symbols, but the experience continues with tagine, bastila, spices, slow cooking and mint tea.
